Wednesday 15th July

Today i finished my radio advert, it is around 30 seconds long and includes lots of student opinions, and includes a catchy soundtrack in chris brown, i feel it real gives the sixth form a good name and could persuade young teenagers to come to the open day, i am now going to burn it to a disk and stick it into my portfolio. I made up making a few changes from i actually intended to do at the start of my project. I changed my music background, and also i changed the people doing my voiceover as some were not available at the time. I feel if i could do it again i would have more experience with the type of work and be able to do a much more efficient product, but i am very happy with a first attempt at a radio advert

Wednesday 1st July

Today i started work on my radio advert, i feel this will be the most difficult part of my project as i have never done one before, but i cracked on with it. I had a few good ideas from my initail ideas and rough drafts for how i was going to do the project. I already came across a problem, my own doing really, the soundtrack i was going to use i didn't bring in to put on the mac, so i had to use a song i already had on my computer, so i ended up using chris brown - forever. After finalizing my script and me thinking i was ready to film, another problem hit, the person i had chosen to do my voiceover was not free, so i couldn't use them, i had to find another person, which in the end was not a problem. But it was not exactly a great help having all these problems.

Wednesday 24th June

I have now nearly finished my webpage completely and it actually looks really good and eye catching. My colour scheme really suits the webpage, and the pictures really attract the audience in. My pages include Home. Information, Courses, Gallery and Contact information, i feel it has been a good design and hopefully my audience will agree with me. I decided on really making the webpage useful, but also very informative, so the audience would be attracted to the webpage, butt then when they actually engage into it, and start reading into the sixth form and its value to year 11 sixth forms. I feel the main aspect of my webpage is my creativity, it was my first time making a website, and i feel it was a great success, it was easily the most enjoyable of my 3 products, as i could really use my imagination and expand my knowledge into making a very creative webpage.

Wednesday 17th June

i have now got fully into creating my final webpage. i decided on using 350.com as it had alot of good examples, and unlike any other website creator you did not have to pay to use it, so i thought this would be a good site to make my webpage. I decided i would make 6 pages for my website, home page, information page, courses page, thoughts page, gallery page and then finally a contact us page. I came across my first problem when designing my website, i had originally decided on a blue background, but was unable to use a blue background, as i was having to use one of 350's templates, so i had to change that, and have a dark background with blue writing. i am really looking forward to starting my design as i feel it gives me a chance to express my creative side, and show my client that a webpage is the best way to get the information of the sixth form across to year 11 students

Wednesday 10th June

Today i have nearly finished the final product to my poster, it has took a lot longer then i expected, i had a few problems with my background as i couldn't decide on how i wanted it to look.I had to change alot from my original idea, as some of my ideas i was unable to do, at first i wanted a blue background behind my poster, but for some odd reason i was unable to do that, so i decided that i would have a brick background, but then had a problem that when i was taking the picture ben walked out the common room, having looked at the photo it actually looked really good from the poster, so i decided to keep it and have all my information and pictures around it, another problem occurred when putting text onto my poser, as it was hard to find a colour that stood out with the brick background, this was only a short delay though, i then placed my pictures in the right positions on the poster and finally had finished my poster.

Friday 5th June

At the end of the week i have finished the final draft for my poster, which i had a few problems with as i had to make alot of changes to it, my idea at the start of the project had near enough vanished and i had a completely new idea, as i felt the colour scheme at the start of my project was not very well thought out so decided to change it. My radio advert has been given alot of thought as i have never done one before, i had a few good ideas, using a catchy soundtrack, and enthusiastic students doing the voiceovers. My final draft sounded good, and i feel the final product will be much better. I have also finished the final draft from my webpage, i cant wait to crack on with this product as i have alot of quality color ideas, and designs for how i am going to finish my final design and make it even more creative and eye catching.

Monday 1st June

Today i finished all of my rough drafts and set up a meeting with my client to discuss what i had designed. I set out a few questions in which i would like him to answer so i could have a better idea of what i need to improve and what is working well. After discussing my products he really liked the idea of my webpage but did recommend i be a little more creative, for my poster he liked the catchy slogan and said to work around that with bigger images and fonts, after hearing all this i decided to work on my final drafts.
